The judges on this series of Dancing on Ice consist of street dancer Ashley Banjo, actor and singer John Barrowman, plus figure skating Olympic gold medallists Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean. Things then turned a bit darker, but not before a rainbow was projected onto the ice rink, which the couple skated along to finish off the dance. Rufus and Robin skated the first part of routine in front of an LED backdrop featuring Super Mario-style graphics. The routine had a video games theme to it, with the pair pretending to be characters reminiscent of the Super Mario franchise. This fit well with the funky and electro-pop sound of Daði & Gagnamagnið’s Eurovision song.

This included comedian and actor Rufus Hound, who performed his first routine of the series to Eurovision song “Think About Things”. The 13th season of Dancing on Ice kicked off at the weekend, with the first six contestants taking to the ice rink. Thus, a similar format to Strictly Come Dancing and Dancing with the Stars, but the contestants wear ice skates instead of ballroom dance shoes.

But now, the dancing has moved from the land and onto the ice, as the tune has been featured on the British television show Dancing on Ice as a part of comedian Rufus Hound’s debut performance. Eleven months since its release, Daði & Gagnamagnið’s Eurovision 2020 entry “Think About Things” is still putting people in the mood to get up and dance.
